Are you discerning a religious vocation? We
invite women ages 18+ to safely explore religious life in our Benedictine,
monastic community. The days will consist of prayer, sharing meals and recreation
with the sisters. Time will be allowed for quiet reflection and listening
to God's call in your heart. Spiritual guidance will be available during this
time if you desire. There is no charge to attend. Pre-registration
is required.

T’ai Chi Chih/Praying with Movements
During T’ai Chi Chih®Joy Thru Movement, participants will
learn non-strenuous, meditative movements which foster serenity,
emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. These movements are
often referred to as moving mediation. Wear comfortable
clothing. Preregistration required.
Dates : Wednesdays, Sept. 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27; Nov. 3,
10 (Eight sessions)

Taking Heart in Tough
Times
Times are tough. Our world is facing countless crises on
economic, social, ecological, political and spiritual fronts.
Helplessness often overwhelms as sorrow, fear, anger and
inaction swell up from within. In a teaching webcast, Joanna
Macy and Father Richard Rohr, OFM, will share reflections and
experiences about how to stay steady and work for a livable
future in the face of these obstacles and provide practical
spiritual practices to effect change in these dark, uncertain
times. Preregistration required.

After the Photos are Filed Away
A gathering for those who have ministered
abroad
Short-term or long-term mission
trips can be life-changing experiences. But, what do you do
after the photos are outdated, familiar routines resumed, and
your heart will never be the same? Whether you have been
home for 10 weeks or 10 years, you share something special with
other former missioners. Gift yourself with an evening of
reflection and sharing with them. Sister Kathleen Atkinson, OSB,
will facilitate.

Transformation Through
Creative Exploration: Difficult Emotions
In a confidential, quiet and non-threatening atmosphere, this
"mini retreat" offers participants the opportunity to reflect on
and explore some of the more troublesome emotions we all face in
relationships such as anger, fear, guilt, jealousy, loneliness,
desire for closeness, need for boundaries, etc. This session
will include short presentations and time and space for quiet
reflection, prayer, or journaling. Personal sharing is always
optional. Preregistration required.

Traits of a Healthy
Spirituality
What makes for an authentic and healthy spirituality?
Participants will explore and grow in their own journey of faith
through the study and discussion of the book Traits of a
Healthy Spirituality by Melannie Svoboda, SND. All sessions
will be held at St. Alexius Convent (212 N. 12th St., Bismarck,
corner of E. Broadway, enter on 12th St.) Preregistration
required. Participants are asked to purchase the book prior to
the second session on October 20.
Dates & Time: Introductory session will be held Wed., Sept.
29 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Following sessions will be Wednesdays, Oct. 20, 27 and Nov.
3, 10, 17 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Awakening the Dreamer: Changing the Dream
Symposium
Through dynamic group interactions, leading edge information
and inspiring multimedia, participants are inspired to reconnect
with their deep concern for our world and are empowered to make
a difference. The Symposium explores the current state of our
planet from a new perspective and connects participants with a
powerful global movement to reclaim our future. Preregistration
required.

Finding God in the
Ordinary
Where do you find God? No experience in our daily lives is so
small that it does not hold the potential for a life-changing
encounter with the divine. Rooted in simplicity, patience and
compassion, our search for God becomes a new way of seeing.

Hearts on Fire Retreat
Throughout the scriptures, fire is used to symbolize divine
presence. Our hearts are kindled by other people, by our own
experiences, by sacred readings and by prayer. Gift yourself
with this morning retreat of conversation and contemplation as
we consider how we are kindled with God's love and radiance.

Direction - Do you desire to grow in your
relationship with God and become more aware of God in your daily life?
Perhaps God is inviting you to seek spiritual direction. Your desire to deepen
your relationship with God grows as you discover God's abiding
love and care for you. Several spiritual directors are

T'ai Chi Chih®Joy
Thru Movement Follow-Up Sessions-
Deepen your commitment to daily
practice by joining others each month to review movements that
release stress and foster inner peace. You must have completed
eight instruction sessions prior to these sessions. Dates:
Tuesdays, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Dec. 14 -
3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Come when you can! Led by Sister Eleanor Stockert. Donation accepted.
Ongoing Support
Sessions on Centering Prayer - Deepen your
relationship with God by joining others in Centering Prayer, a
prayer of silence. Must have had Intro to Centering Prayer
sessions. Each session includes centering, silence and Lectio on
Scripture. Dates:
Mondays, Sept. 13, Oct. 4, Nov. 8, Dec. 6 - 7:30
p.m. to 9 p.m. Led by Sister
Patricia Schap. Donation accepted.
Group Retreat or
Reflection - Arrange a time for reflection, prayer
and/or retreat for your group. Bring your own leader or
inquire if someone from the Center could facilitate the retreat.

Outreach Programs
- Speakers from the monastery are available to present
programs in your locality. Call for information.
Labyrinth Prayer Path Walk - Experience our beautiful
scenery and prayerfully walk our outdoor labyrinth on your own. Are you pondering your
relationship with God, self, others? Perhaps walking the labyrinth will
refresh your spirit and you might find some of the answers you are looking for.
Pre-registration is not required as you are welcome to walk our
labyrinth any time between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Renew Your Inner Spirit at Our
Hospitality Center -The monastery is a perfect place for quiet time to
relax, read and pray in a restful setting. It is a place for: individual
and/or directed retreat, for self-directed renewal times, for days or times of
solitude in private, for spiritual direction.

The
suggested donation is a free will offering to help defray the
cost of our spiritual programs. However, no one in
need of services will be turned away for lack of finances.
