Sisters Welcome Rosemary DeGracia as
Postulant

In a holy ceremony of welcoming and joy, affiliate Rosemary
DeGracia knocks at the front door of Annunciation Monastery.
Sister Nancy Miller, prioress, welcomed her in word and
gesture, concluding with the question: "Rosemary, what do
you seek?" Rosemary expressed in her own words how she
desires to seek God with the Benedictine Sisters of
Annunciation Monastery.

Sister Nancy Miller presents Rosemary with a Benedictine
medal. Also pictured (far left): Sister Nicole
Kunze, affiliate director, and Sister Agatha Muggli, novice
and formation director.

Sister Nancy presents the Rule of Benedict to Rosemary.

Surrounded by the love and support of the monastic
community, Rosemary is welcomed as a postulant, blessed by
the sisters, and shown to
her room. Welcome, Rosemary, and God bless you as your
journey with us to God.

Center for the Study of
Medieval Women Monastics/Mystics
Available Here!
A treasury of fascinating resources on medieval women
mystics is available for your research and reading pleasure!
Sister Miriam Schmitt, a scholar on the topic, shares over
20 years of research which has been compiled and catalogued
into one of the most comprehensive stores of information -
all in one convenient location!
Housed in a comfortable retreat room in our Hospitality
Center, you will find books, research papers, publications,
cassettes, pictures, slides and music on the lives, visions,
art, and writings of medieval mystics including
Hildegard of Bingen, Gertrude of Helfta and others.
"These women continue to be relevant today because of
their very real experiences with God. They were courageous
leaders in a day when morality was low," says Sister Miriam.
The Sisters of Annunciation Monastery are dedicated to
preserving this rare collection for future generations.
