We, the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery, seek God and live as a monastic community under a Prioress according to the Rule of Benedict. As women claiming our humanity, redeemed by Christ and empowered by the Spirit, we strive with others to respond to the challenges of the times and to further the mission of Jesus by prayer, lectio, and service.
Committed to Benedictine Values
- Our roots go back over 130 years when Benedictine Sisters first came to Dakota territory. We became an independent foundation in 1947.
- Our founders instilled into the fiber of the community a deep faith and a willingness to step into uncharted waters.
- We will continue to take risks on behalf of God's people.
- We will be here for the people of the prairie.
Our Benedictine Values include:
Prayer & Eucharist
Community Life
Hospitality
