We, the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery, seek God and live as a monastic community under a Prioress according to the Rule of Benedict. As women claiming our humanity, redeemed by Christ and empowered by the Spirit, we strive with others to respond to the challenges of the times and to further the mission of Jesus by prayer, lectio, and service.
Committed to Community
We, the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery, seek God and live as a monastic community under a prioress according to the Rule of Benedict.
We care about each other on our lifelong journey to God.
We support, challenge and inspire one another to reach our full potential as women of faith.
We develop strong bonds of mutual respect and love.
Our Guiding Principles
Annunciation Monastery will have a distinct identity as a monastic community.
WHEREVER WE LIVE, WE WILL:
Have common spaces that are conducive to being with each other
Extend hospitality to each other and to guests
Have the opportunity for solitude
Regard the beauty of divine and human creation as gift and care for it
Respond to the needs of each person
Serve in collaboration with others
Support each other in our ministries
